Beth,
No whiz wheels here. <grin> there're three buttons on either end of the
display and they're used to manipulate the display. I think the middle
btton on either end goes backwards or forwards. there's a joystick in the
front. I didn't use it much. I doubt I ever will.
Personally I wish the keys were slightly longer--a centimeter or two and I
wish they were concavevd a bit so you have an easy and quick reference
point. there's a round speaker grill in the middle that sticks up and I
don't like this. I don't like the split spacebar either. there were eight
braille keys, a split spacebar which makes it two spacebars, two recessed
keys on the right of the spacebars and two recessed keys on the left of
the spacebars and three raised bttons on either end of the display for a
total of six buttons that are used to operate the display and one recessed
space on the left end of the machine in the front. right in the center of
the front is that silly joystick. the cousor routing buttons are rather
sharp. I don't think they need to be that sharp. I think they could be
nice round rubber buttons that are more comfortable. the unit felt
slightly heavy to me. but the menus are a lot like the BrailleNote menus
and that was at least something that was familiar to me. It's a power
plant but it isn't at full strength yet. they're continually developing
and adding....

Isaac, I for one hope that the PK does not have thumb wheels, I have trouble
using those. If you manually move the display while reading, are buttons
used for this and are they at the left and right ends of the display? How
did you personally like the slant of the keyboard, which I understand some
like and some don't? Thanks. Beth
