I purchased a 64 Megabyte card for a Braillenote in 2001. This card is still functioning and it is about to have its fourth birthday. Please note that CF cards are supposed to have a limited number of writes meaning, that data can only be written to them (and writing means recording new data, deleting old data, or changing/modifying existing data) a finite number of times. Unfortunately, I do not have a specific figure as to how many "writes" a card can handle. And, even if I did, I can't imagine anyone could count them. (smile)

I've been using my cards for over a year now and they are still going strong. I always take them out before shutting down my BN and place them back in just after starting it back up again. The only difference I have noticed is that the card is not as hard to push in, or take out. I don't know about any other effects that may happen. Glad they're tiny they just go in my pocket! Anyway, my question is in pulling in and out a lot, will the card be damaged or have a life shortened at all by doing this? >zip 75019 >___ >To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to >[EMAIL PROTECTED] >To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit >http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
