Hi,

My personal experience has been that it is more apt to happen when the battery
starts to get a bit low; around 20 percent or so. It certainly doesn't happen
every time though. And, I seem to have had it occur more often with the
microdrive in the pcmcia slot rather than the cf card in the cf slot. And, who
knows
what other factors may be involved. All my experience is with a qt-32.

Really? I'm not the one who asked the original question, but after hearing
several people on this list say that they keep their CFC's in the BN all the
time, I've
been doing that, too. I've never had a problem so far. I'll keep this in mind
however, if this should start happening to me as well.
