Hi, I've been following most of this thread since Peggy's initial query. What caused me to replace my shoulder strap was that the original shredded. I apologize if someone already noted wsuch an experience. The thing was obviously designed to keep it from slipping off, but it just shredded to pieces. Ditto for the students I issued them out to. I agree; replacements are pretty much all around us. As for securing it during recitals, performances, hikes, rush hour trafic, etc., that great Velcro loop is great. best to all, kat

The shoulder pad can be replaced as well. Try straps from an old back pack or purse, or from some other electronics equipment. I think they are more common than one might think! So far as I can see, the strap from my BN case works fine for me but I do understand what you are saying!
