Hello Rhonda,

Here is how I would troubleshoot this situation.

1. Press dots 456/sdf while resetting.
2. Once you have set the time and date and reach the main menu, remove the
network card from the BrailleNote for ten seconds.

Note: The above steps check that the DHCP client on the BrailleNote is
enabled and will undo any changes made by the BNIP config utility on the
brailleNote CD.

3. Check that DHCP is enabled on your router. This should be possible
through a web or command interface. 4. Once this is done, insert the
network card once more. An IP address should now be assigned to the
Braillenote once the DHCP server has been found.

While you can set the BrailleNote up using static IP addresses, further
configuring is needed so this is probably the best way to get up and
running.

If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.

way off the subject of anything discussed.
> I got DSL today. I use Consolidated, which is my phone company, and it is
a Dynamic connection. I can't even get on the internet. I bought the
Ethernet card from Pulsedata, and had to buy a router. My message is that I
need an HDPC (maybe I'm reversing that). It tells me it can't find a pop
server. aI don't have a PC to do activesync with, so I can't partner up.
What do I do? Thanks for the help.
