Hey Tina, Like so many other things, i learned about the attachments subdirectory from Roselle, an invaluable member of this list who had to unsubscribe a while back. This, and many other odds and ends, are not documented in the manual thorougly enough or at all. While it is good that we have such a list for people to share tidbits they have discovered, unless you have a dedicated member like Roselle who is willing to learn the machine inside and out, many things go untold, sometimes to disastrous results (need i mention the keymail database?) So, in a not to subtle way, I'm urging PDI once again to make a moe thorough investigation of the user manual, correct incorrect commands, and include docuentation on features that are not accurately covered.
As for attachments taking up space, attachments take up space in the flash disk, separate from keymail. This is why you are able to access them through keyword by going to the attachment subdirectory of keymail. How did you get the information for deleting attachments? That's good info but I've only seen it mentioned on list and it steems to me unless I've missed it, that it would be a good thing to bring up while talking about freeing databases or deleting e-mail and by ing way, does deleting attachments affect the database? I freed mine earlier after getting rid of several attachments and it seemed to free even more > space. > > > ___ > To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit > http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote >
