Dear Tina,

I have NIV, NLT and NKJV. I download the ONLINE BIBLE Starter pack from
their web site and I bought the locked versions I mentioned. Using DBT and
my PC, I translated the text into .brf files.

I'm currently redoing the NKJV because I lost it during a complete system
restore.

As far as I know, the OLB is the only software which is screen-reader
friendly.

If anyone would like one of the translations I have, please email me
off-list. If anyone has a suggestion for a translation they would like,
I'll see if there is an online version which I can download.

Please be aware that downloading translations book by book from web sites
means it will take me longer to get the .brf files prepared because web
sites contain material referring to links, bracket numbers, footnotes and
cross-references, which I remove to make the Bibles more readable. Also,
verse numbers need to be separated from the first word in the verse.

If the translation is contained in the OLB software program, it will take
less time to prepare because the text is already in a readable format.

Subject: [Braillenote] bibles and the bn

: Hi. I know this has come up before, but what versions of the Bible are
people using and where are you getting it? I got a cd rom given to me
tonight but can't get it to work on my pc using xp and I checked out cd
versions in the bookstore which I'm still thinking about down the line, but
it would really be nice to be able to read in church or bible study. and
I'd like something other than king james like niv or the living standard
version it's another version similar to NIV but apparently even more
readable and I really want a version you can just read. Any ideas
