Hello Charles, and congratulations on your retirement. You most certainly
can extract your address database(s) to word processor files with the
BrailleNote. In the manual, there is a chapter which addresses creating
templates to extract information from the address database. Read that
chapter, and if you have questions, fire off to the list or email me
privately. I sold my VoiceNote about a year ago and did just this, and I can
answer any questions you may have. It worked great.

Subject: [Braillenote] an Address List question

Hi,

I am leaving my job with the state of Tennessee and have been told that I
cannot take the BrailleNote with me.

Does anyone know how to get all the fields of an address list into a text or
braille file. I have only seen the two templates for getting general
information out of the records. Neither of them is copying the Notes field,
nor the Celular phone number.

I have quite a bit of information on many of the records in the address list
and don't wish to open a Word document and switch tasks from the Address
List to the Word document and manually re-enter all the information. I
haven't been able to figure out how to move information into the clipboard
from an Address Book entry.

Also, I was wondering if anyone knows of a Windows XP application which can
read the data in the Address List file.

I only have access to the BrailleNote for about three or four more days.

I am running KeySoft 5.0 on a BrailleNote BT.

I look forward to any help someone might be able to provide.

Since I am taking an early retirement I am not presently able to purchase a
BN (new or used).
