I have had those crashes, (I was responsible for starting that tragic
thread), and I have never noticed one of the cards fitting more tightly than
usual.

Sara,
This has happened to me. I Now place the compact flash card into a PCMCIA
adapter. Then place that adapter into the PCMCIA slot on the right hand
side of the unit. This allows you to use your compact flash card with no
pushing and pulling. the PCMCIA adapter can be purchased at your local
computer store.

I wonder if the difficulty in inserting and removing a compact flash card
from the back slot on the unit, causes the misterious compact flash card
crashes heard about on this list?

Sincerely,
Jerry Weinger

Subject: [Braillenote] Fit of Compact Flash Cards

Hello everybody,
I signed up for the SMA that provides the updates on Compact Flash
Cards. When I got my 5.0 update, the card was very easy to slide in and out
of the unit. When I received the card with 5.1 on it, the fit is very
tight. I have to really work to get the card in or out of the unit. Is
that normal? If so, what causes it? I've never really used the Compact
Flash cards before.

Sarah
