Hi Mary Ellen and list,

I tend to agree with you here! I think we tend to hear more of the problems that people have on this list but I tend to think you and I are more in the majority than in the minority. I do feel for those who haven't received their upgrade to date even though it was paid for some time back.

I usually wait till an upgrade is out before I purchase it. I figured I was going to be the one who would be waiting but I had my upgrade a week after ordering it. Had to wait for my BN to return from getting a battery changed. That took at least a week and a half. I really can't complain myself! Everything seems to be working quite well with my unit.

Ok I guess I am in the minority here but, I am very satisfied with the service I have received with Humanware. I have had the chance to talk with them twice in 2 days earlier this month and the wait was not overly long. I was given sound advice as to shipping my Braille Note and the next day, after returning from Ohio to Arizona, I discovered that somewhere between the Cincinnati house and the Arizona house my ac adapter got lost and I called and had Humanware overnight me a replacement. The replacement arrived as promised and the Bn is up and running. I did talk to someone at the end of April, inquiring about my 6.1.1 upgrade as I had paid for it last July. They told me that shipments had stopped as there had been an upgrade to the upgrade and I would receive the newest edition. The lady asured me that once this was put on the flash card my shipment would go through the proper channels. Since I am in no particular hurry, her answer was perfectly satisfactory with me. At least we aren't being charged as Jonathan has so steadily pointed out countless times, for a brand-new unit as those with the other name-brand pda were.
