Hi Listers,
Okay I am beginning to think this might be an IE issue. I really hope the next
version of Keysoft can handle online payments. I got the same response today
when I tried the direct loan Web site. I tried filling out my information hit
the link that says proceed and the BN just showed 0 percent on the percentage
bar. It refuses to download the page after that. Why is it so hard for the BN
or IE to do something so simple? I wish I could be like everyone else and pay
their payments online. Instead I have to go to the post office and have
someone write my check for me and pay some outrageness amount money to ovnight
the payment overnight mail here is 3 days. This is insane. Maybe I should
just accept that life is friendsturating but this is insane. A person who is
blind should be able to pay their bills online like everyone else. Especially
since to pay bills not electroically means someone else has to write out my
checks. Even if I wanted to use my credit card I can't!
because I have to fill out a form where you guessed it on the direct loan Web
site. Paying over the phone is not an option with these direct loan people. I
just thought this would be easier. Once again I thought the BN could handle
something simple like translating a file or downloading a Web page only to find
out the BN does indeed have limits. I know the BN isn't a PC. But for me it
is my PC. Maybe everyone else has the luxury of having a BN and a PC. Maybe I
am the only user who only has the BN to use and not a PC. I am not
comfortable using the computer at work for this type of stuff for lots of
reasons.
Maybe I am the only person frustrated by this craziness. Perhaps I'm the only
person who is blind who chooses to pay their loan payments online. This Web
site even has an accessible mode and it was turned on.
Does PDI have anything to say about this? To say that that shouldn't be
happening or that I'm just going to have to get used to the BN's limitations
and start saving for a PC?
The Web site is
www.dl.ed.gov

You have to have an account with the organization in order to access
information about yourself.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide. I'm sorry for posting about this again
I didn't receive any responses the first time. This leads me to think I must
be the only one facing this problem.
Sorry to bore everyone.
If anyone can provide any assistance thank you. Thanks for your time.
Lisa
