Khalid, You should download books in brf or txt format, as the bn cannot
handle daisy format. You can also download bookshare zipped files, but
then you must either unzip it on your pc before transferring it to the
bn, or rename the zipped file on the bn to have a bks extension, to
unpack with the bookshare utility, which is installed on your bn. You
could also download txt or zipped books from the Gutenberg site, but
then rather unzip them on the pc. You can also download from the
Braille.org site.

I believe you require membership and in some cases specific citizenship
to download from other sites, but perhaps someone in the States can
comment on that.

Riana

Subject: [Braillenote] reading books

Hi all,
I would like to have full detail in how to download books from
bookshare to put them in my BrailleNote. For now I can't use the BN with
internet, so I'll download the books from the site then paste them in
The BN. I don't have any problems in downloading the book to my PC and
to paste it in my BN. What I should do before pasting the book to my BN?
In which format I should download the books? [DAISY or BRF files]. Is
there other sites that I can download book from them?
Thanks in advance
Cheers
