Dear jonathan, I find Keynote Gold excellent in most cases. If I may offfer constructive criticism, at high speech rates, the decTALK for me is clearer. And I agree with you that this is subjective. Indeed, giving us, the end users, more voices and adjustments upon these voices, would allow each one of us to tailor the speech to our personal taste. I for instence, might be able to tweak Keynote Gold so I could understand it at higher speeds.
One adjustment that I would like added, but do not see in any of the synthetic or sampled speech is an adjustment on speech inflection. I might turn it higher for fiction, and turn it lower for scientific journels. Keep up the good work.
