Hi Kim; place the cf card down with the ridge down and away from you. When You pick it up you can slide it in the back slot and it will extend a little. I also lable my cf cards with dimo tape. Line them up snug in the upper left corner. Terry Powers

Make sure the flash card has the little ridge facing down. It's possible to damage the card slot by forcing it in upside down. You can use either slot for the flash card as long as you have a PCMCIA adapter for the right side slot.
