Hi Laura,
I'll take your second question first.  After I repeated the steps you said 
about creating a new file in email, the machine did that correctly.  I have not 
had difficulty with it since that time, and have created three files in the 
internet.
With regard to the spell checker I do not understand what you mean by going to 
the top of the file to check the document using the letter t.).  Would you 
please clarify.  Thank you.
