RE: [Braillenote] PK Space Bar And Braille Keys

I would hate to cast a shadow on anyone's expectations, but I sincerely
doubt if any redesign of the hardware for this device is going to occur
this late in the development cycle. PDI would like to ship before the
end of the year. I cannot imagine how they could be expected to change
the overall look and feel of the unit at this stage of the game.
Sorry, but that's reality.

Subject: [Braillenote] PK Space Bar And Braille Keys

Jonathan,
I love the PK. However, I must offer these constructive criticisms on
this
very cool unit. Firstly, My thumbs naturally rests on the area directly
between the two space bars on the PK. I would need a space bar in that
area.

Secondly, I would prefer the keys on the Braille keyboard to be lined up
Perkins Brailler style, The "ergonomic" arrangement of the keys slowed
me
down, when trying out the beta PK at your booth in Birmingham.

If you need further information or clarification, please contact me on
or
off list.

Sincerely,
Jerry Weinger
