I'd love to download my update, format a compact flash card in my reader and
just unzip it directly onto the freshly formatted flash card, then install
away!

Again, I ask, "What's the big deal, anyway?"

You know, that is flat out ridiculous if it is the case.
They should have come up with a way for those who could to download the
update.
Or, they should have come up with a way for the update compact flash cards
to be generated in ones country of residence.

I just spoke with Kim from PDH. She informed me that 6.1 will not even
begin to ship until Feb. 20. I was a little shocked. She said New
Zealand
wouldn't be shipping it to them until Feb. 20. I must have misunderstood
a
lot of information. Kim said most of us will not get the upgrade until
sometime after April.
