Hi, If you have to reset as often as 10 times a day, something must be wrong. 2 to 3 times a week sounds about average to me, since all the BrailleNotes at school have to be reset about that often.
PCMCIA cards are a pain in the neck for causing resets apparently of there own accord, but I've never seen a CF card cause an Auto Reset. If, Ronda, you've got a PCMCIA card in there, try listening for a gentle whirring around the right hand side of the unit. Wait till that stops before switching off. that should fix the problem of resetting on power-on. I can't help further than that. Two to three times a week? You are so fortunate! How about ten times per day? I wish I had helpful hints. It's hard to know why they lock up, and do the things they do. Doesn't sound too helpful, but you're really doing pretty well! > ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Victory Associates LTD, Inc." <[EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected] >Date: Wed, 27 Apr 2005 17:08:05 -0600 >Subject: [Braillenote] INCESSANT RESET--HOW CAN I PREVENT THIS WHEREPOSSIBLE? >Hi Everyone: >In recent times, I am forced to reset KeySoft about two to three times a >week.
