Hi,
It seems to me like the update took me in a way from windows95/98 to all
the way to xp. I love the update! It's such a nice thing to have. But you
know what? Even without the update, my braillenote was such an excellent
piece of equipment. It worked wonderfully before. But Humanware only went
and made it a whole lot better! Hmmm, I wonder if there are any wireless
hotspots around this town that I could tap into?
I'll be living in an apartment next semester. And my friend Aaron said
he's gunna buy a wireless router. So then LuAnn and I can sit on the couch
in the living room with our updated braillenotes and browse the web or
check email. And who cares if it can't stream real audio and windows media
and mp3 because that's why I have a shortwave radio for. You can get cheap
hand-cranked ones at amazon.com for $40.00 I think. I may just buy another
wireless card for LuAnn on amazon just to see how good amazon works with
this. The one thing I really want to see is to be able to use those
mouse--over links if nothing else. But I can wait for that. Humanware did
a good job! Strange that they would include help files in html about the
basics of Pocket pc and wordpad and stuff like that but that's ok. It
gives me something to read. And humanware must have reconfigured the rom
or the system disk somehow. Because I have multilingual installed, plus
keysoft plus windows ce 4.2 and I still have over 7mb
free on it. Even without the update though the braillenote/voicenote was
an excellent product! If I hadn't gotten it I would have lived.
Josh
