Hi Dean,

Can I respectfully suggest that you consider revamping the PK User Guide,
therefore? As one who now has both BT and PK at my disposal, it looks as if
there are a number of earlier BN details included which don't apply to PK,
and this is rather confusing! I well appreciate why PD will have used an
earlier BN guide as a basis for the PK guide, but guidance given in a manual
which doesn't pertain to the model for which it is written can sometimes
cause people to be concerned that their product isn't functioning correctly,
or at very least trying to perform tasks on their machine which don't need
to be done!

Cheers.

Paul.

Hello Vicky,

On the PK, no calibration is needed as there is no gauge reading. Instead,
the battery level and battery status messages are derived from the current
voltage reading. Therefore, you will not have the same degree of accuracy
as on the BrailleNote but as I say, no calibration is needed.

If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Subject: [Braillenote] calibrating the battery on the PK

    Hi All,

Well, hopefully, I'll know the answer to this reasonably soon myself. But,
just in case it takes longer than I realize, my question is approximately
how long is it
supposed to take to calibrate the battery on the PK? Did I hear someone on
the list once maybe talk about twelve to fifteen hours for one of their BN
products? For this first time, I
decided to do this using the speech, and it has been dutifully talking now
for about nine and a half hours.

Thanks.
