Terry, when downloading webbraille, you can do the following which is
what we were doing:

Place the pc cursor on the volume you want to download from webbraille
Hit enter, you will hear, "some files....." braille dots 2,3,4 (the
letter s)
You will hear "save as....." type f\(book name, volume number
(Christmas story1) for example and then .brf
It should save to your CF card.

Then take your CF card and place it in your braillenote and select the
cf card when looking for the drive for where your book will be.

For some reason, your CF reader wasn't getting the message. Maybe that
is working now, we can check it out.

can someone translate Terri's instructions into BT instructions please.
I
think this is the method I was trying when we had trouble.
Thanks.

Dear Mary Ellen,

You are taking many more steps than is necessary and that's why I think
"you're going around Robin Hood's barn." This is not meant as a
criticism
or put-down, it's an old saying my high school geometry teacher used to
tell
us when we'd take more steps than he thought necessary to solve a
problem.
Anyway, I download the books from my PC directly to the CF card. Here
are
the steps:

1. Don't open the link of the volumes. Instead, press shift f10.

2. Arrow down to "save target as."

3. At the filename prompt, type e:\books\booknamev01.brf. If you don't
mind
using the NLS book number, you could type e:\books in front of the book
number. In either case, the book will be downloaded directly to the CF
card.
