Dear Laura,

This might be a sily question, but I'll ask it anyway because I usually use
my PC to download books from web braille.

Internet Explorer 6 has a "save target as" option, so I can download a
volume without opening it. Does Keyweb have such a feature?

There is also an option to save a file or open it. I choose "save" and
designate what folder I want it to go to. Keyweb should have those
features, too.

: Hi Keao and Mria,
:
: The reason Keao was confused is because, with web braille books, you are
not
: technically "downloading' a file, as you would from bookshare, but opening
a
: web page. Since the term "download" is used often to describe getting
books
: off of the web braille site, many users expect to be prompted with the
: "download file in to which folder?" when, in reality, all that will happen
: is a very very large web page will open. I might make my plug here and
now
: that it is always a good idea to clear your temporary internet files after
: opening large web pages such as keyweb or downloading files off of the
: internet. These temp files quickly eat up keysoft disk space and will
: greatly hinder further attempts to download.
: To do this, open a page on keyweb, press enter with m (control with 2) to
: enter the internet options menu. Press I to enter the internet file
: management menu and d to delete temporary internet files. The word
"cleared"
: will be spoken, not displayed if you have a display. yet all pins will go
: down, so you will no the process completed itself. HTh, Laura
