Let's use all the common sense we can muster on this subject. You remember the game telephone you used to play as a child? It would be best to wait to see what the powers that be decide which, folks is not going to be now, in a week nor in 3 months. Lots of things happen when two companies merge such as getting on the same computer system division of work loads and deciding which company takes responsibility for what. So use common sense and let's let the dust settle before that ol rumor mill starts churning because again it isn't going to happen over night.

Subject: [Braillenote] interesting tidbit re Trekker and the BN

This is the full text of a message posted earlier to the Trekker list by one
of the folks from Visuaide. Of particular note is the last sentence, where
he talks about plans to port Trekker to the BN. I find it difficult to
believe
that PDI would support two separate gps products for the BN.
Mary

The merger has no impact on the development plan and schedule for the next
versions of Trekker. To do a small recap, we are working on version 2.6 of Trekker presently where the main improvements will be with the maps (larger
maps and ability to load many of them at once). We will also introduce a
new Bluetooth GPS receiver in the spring or early summer. We have also
started our planning for the version 3.0 that will introduce many exciting
improvements to Trekker.

As a bonus, the merger shall accelerate our plans to port the Trekker to the
BrailleNotes line of Notetakers.
