Hello Ann,

Skype was chosen as "the program to use" as it works behind firewalls.
Skype also uses encryption to make communication more secure and it does not
rely on a server relaying the voice communications, which can often cut down
on delays.

If you haven't tried Skype, I suggest you do so as the quality is the best
I've heard yet, FM quality I say!

for some reason, I was not able to get Ivocalize to work from here, even
though we opened the suggested ports.  I'm not criticising the program at
all.  In fact, I've had a lot of fun, chatting and laughing away with people
using it.

Once Skype is installed, you are asked to create an account which I haven't
heard anyone having trouble with.  However, as I say, it's a trial and we'll
have to see how people go.
