Hi Richard

My name is Emma Bennison and I have just re-subscribed after a long absence
having recently had my BN upgraded to the new board and KeySoft 5.1. So far
I am very happy with the results.

Your comments about the need for a hardware upgrade are very true of course.
But if such a hardware upgrade were to include, say, USB connectivity I
suspect that more users may be willing to purchase an upgrade. I daresay
all of this is on the list of possibilities for Pulse Data.

Yes, it is clear that there are individuals on this list who don't
understand that a microphone is hardware. No piece of software whatsoever
will magically provide the Braillenote with a mike.

Maybe it's too early for me to be posting, but wouldn't that require a major
hardware upgrade? After all, as far as I know, the only way to record voice
or use voice dictation is with a microphone, which the BN doesn't have.
Most of us had to send our BN's in for that first major hardware upgrade a
couple years ago, and I'm sure most would not be in a hurry to do it again
unless it proved absolutely necessary.

Hi, Jonathan, that's cool re future plans for DAISY. I may be dreaming big
here, but what the heck: How about also being able to record voice and data
in DAISY format and be able to store it internally and transfer this to a
flash card? Beth
