Sherry, it's very easy to send and receive attachments with the bn,
actually more so than with a pc, although it takes longer to download.
I want to suggest that you rather save your ms word documents to txt
files, before you send them to the bn, because it will download faster
and you may have hassles with some word documents.

Subject: [Braillenote] attachments and internet questions

Hi all,

First of all, I am using a braille note BT, version 5.1. I have a
couple questions.

i have been away from home for a few weeks doing some job hunting. i've
been staying with a friend and using a regular PC, but starting today, I
will be staying somewhere with no accessible computer access. so, I
will be using my braille note exclusively for a while. i've never
handled attachments with the BN, finding things like that easier and
faster to accomplish on the PC. However, since I am doing job hunting,
this will involve sending out very important documents like resumes and
cover letters as email attachments. is the process of receiving,
reading and sending attachments fairly straight forward? I'm planning
to email my documents to me as attachments, and then saving them to my
compact flash card to be ready when I need them. Is it possible to save
them in such a way. And will they save as MS. word documents and have
no formatting changes, if I don't do anything to them?

My next question is about the internet browser in the newest version of
Keysoft. I am considering asking my rehab counselor to purchase the
upgrade for me, if it will mean I can do online job searching and
applying. my success with the current version of the web browser has
been minimal, and i wouldn't even want to try to do online applications
with it, since they are often complicated and secure web sites using IE
6, which I believe my current version of the web browser doesn't work
with.

Anyway, please feel free to write me off list, if these questions have
been done to death on the list! Thanks everyone.
