Hello Chris,
In the e-mail set up menu there is an option to save e-mails to a storage 
device.  I tend to download all e-mails to the flash disk, and then save the 
ones I wish to keep on a compact flash card.  I have not had much luck with 
synchronizing, but am certain that which you suggest should work.  David
