Hi Tessa: For the files that are currently keyword which you wish to convert to another format, go into the particular file, and press space with s (control with s). This command is the best approximation the BN has to the "save as" command. You will hear the prompt "document has not been modified. Document name?" Hit backspace with x (control with x), which allows you to toggle through the different file types offered by keysoft. Select which one you want, and press enter. You will be prompted "open the new document after saving?" I press y, just because I never trust technology and want to make sure the process occurred without a problem. Note that now you will have two versions of the file--the keyword one and the newly formatted one. Keyword files take up more room, and the file is also a duplicate, so make sure you rid yourself of the original copy if you are space-conscious.
As for the issue of space, the BN, by default, is equipped with an 8-megabyte keysoft disk and a 16-megabyte flash disk. As Rhonda stated, the keysoft disk is used for programs and other software PDI installs on the BN, and any information kept there will be deleted upon resetting your unit. Thus, it is not a good idea to keep any important information on this drive. You should always opt to use the flash drive whenever it is possible. HTH, and good job for reading the manual!!!
