Thanks, Don. I'll see if I can get my settings tweaked. We actually
entered a password when setting up the router, so I guess I'll need to hit
that instead of admin. I'll see what happens.

Hi peggy,
To disconnect, go into the option menu, then connectivity, then
wireless. You'll see that wireless active is set to yes. Just type the
letter n and it should
show as disconnected after a few seconds.
As for accessing the router settings, this is a guess as it works on mine
and might well be the same for yours.
Go to the start menu on the pc, hit r for run and then type in this:
http://192.168.1.1 and then hit enter. If all goes well, you will see a
screen asking for a username and password. Ignore the username field and
in the
password field type in admin and then hit okay.
This should let you in.
There's no great secret about this as it's printed right in the manual
which you might want to convert to a text file sometime.
If you do happen to have the wireless-g broadband router, let me know as I
do have the manual in text since I used k1000 to convert the pdf file which is
on the cd.

Here are a couple more questions:
How do you disconnect from a wireless connection? The only way I've found
to do it is with a reset.
Also, I can't find how to tweak my Linksys router settings. I don't see it
listed in programs, even though we used the CD to install it (or rather my
husband used the CD to install it). I don't see anything in the sys tray
or programs or desktop. Still need to check the control panel. They did
say something about a website to change settings, but I don't see anything
to know how to get me there. I'll explore on my own too, but if anyone
knows and can share, that would be mahvelous.
