Hi folks, If your user name and password is the same as your email login details, then you shouldn't have to enter these in twice.
Just a little tip here anyway! In fact, you can have issues when doing this if you are a KeySoft 5.1 user. Regards, Dean Jackson Customer/Technical Analyst Pulse Data International Ltd. What the email address is, like mine would be, [EMAIL PROTECTED] That holds true for the service user name, as well as the email user name. When you enter the password in service user name, enter it the same way in the email password. Unless it's been changed a lot, my pop server was pop.earthlink.net and the smtp was smtp.earthlink.net. Try sending yourself an email, well, I should say, the person you are helping, and see if that part works. hth > >----- Original Message ----- > >From: "Shai Wolman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > >To: <[email protected] > >Date: Tue, 31 Aug 2004 16:46:25 -0700 > >Subject: [Braillenote] trouble with receiving mail on earthlink dial up withbraille note running keysoft4.01 and the new mother board > > >Hi I'm helping a friend here with her braille note. > >We configured the pop server address to pop.earthlink.net, and the smtp address to smtpauth.earthlink.net, as was instructed by earthlink to configure it that way, and still no go, we also additionally put in her service user name as [EMAIL PROTECTED], and email user name being the same thing and still no go, now, it disconnects her from the net when she tries getting on so we alternatively changed it back to just the service user name, as being just a plain user name and the email user name being [EMAIL PROTECTED] > >And even though, I realize it was for sending, I instructed her to enable smtp authentication, just to see what would happen but still no go. > >Any help with this would be appreciated, as I know that earthlink is useable with the braille note. > >And also, btw, she can send using the email server, but not receive. > >Thank you > >___ > >To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to > >[EMAIL PROTECTED] > >To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit > >http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote > > > > ___ > To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit > http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote >
