Hi Mary Ellen,
As your mail is downloading, the BN should prompt you when a message is too
big to download. At this point you can press H with spacebar to get your
options. You would press S to skip the message.

When my wife used by BN, she often got five hundred posts which could be
read slow at first but after reading and deleting the first ten, the
process went much more quickly. If a post was too big to download, the
bn would prompt what to do with it! I usually skipped those posts I
couldn't download with the BN and I got them later with my PC. If posts
were spam, or they had large attachments, I'd skip those to be downloaded
later with my PC.

Yes, you can, just know that not knowing the length of some messages,
it can take a while. I can tell you that sometimes you can have a freeze
up, but generally, you should be able to do 50 messages just fine. HTH
