Hi Jonathan, Thanks for confirming that I'm not doing anything wrong - would be cool to be able to communicate with the phones one day I must admit. I presume it wouldn't be too hard to do - presumably Nokia simply sends defined commands to their phones and receives the returned data over the virtual com port that was established in the pairing with the pc.
Cheers. The BrailleNote PK can only be used as a modem with a mobile phone. When I pair up my PK with my Nokia 6310I, I only get Modem offered to me as a Bluetooth service. But from my PC, I can access the phone's contents via Bluetooth using Nokia PC Suite or LogoManager. So how do you get PK to communicate with other phone services? I understand how important it would be for you to sink files etc I can do my email and surf the net via the phones modem but it is an expense. all I am doing is giving me braille access to the mobile phone. my model is the nokia 7610 but if set up in the pk connectivity it does work. I will have to check further about looking at my contacts on the phone from the pk but i am sure you can do this. I think at this moment in time the pk users are a small group and bluetooth experience is small. keep tuned in to the list as it is a grate source of help. hope you get it sorted out. ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
