Hi Londa,
Sorry, but it isn't rocket science <smile>.
All I can do is: enter reschedule for the series, alter the end date of the
series to the date before the change, and save. This provides the
"historical" information.
I then have to set up the new schedule for the revised appointment.

Unfortunately the Block" commands don't work in the schedule or reschedule
modes so there is no way of copying information from the previous set of
appointments to the new ones ... all the information has to be retyped!

I said the work around was long and time consuming!

Perhaps another change Jonathan and Dean can consider is allowing block
commands to be available in the Scheduling and rescheduling modes?

Best regards, Ian.

What are your work-arounds? I'd be interested in hearing them and possibly
usin them.

mode.

Jonathan, Dean,
The current Planner is brilliant! It has been a tremendous help in my office
environment.
However, there is one aspect which I find a little frustrating.

I have a considerable number of recurring meetings right across the
available types, i.e. daily, weekly, bi-weekly, etc. Quite often, the
details of these meetings have to change because of changing personnel,
change of time or day, time zone considerations, scope of meeting, etc.
These are all very easy to do.

My problem is that I also like to keep my records of old meetings and their
details as an historical record. But when you make a change using
reschedule, the change is also made retrospectively from the date of change,
i.e. ALL past appointments are also changed, not just the future meetings.
This is a bit illogical because if the meeting has passed, it shouldn't need
to change to take into account future requirements.

Would it be possible to provide an additional option for only future
meetings to be updated?

There are work arounds but they are long and time consuming.

Thanks, Ian.

Ian Dawson
