Sarah,
Good idea except for several things here:
1. I am basically getting this device in order to learn mainly for
teaching purposes.
2. I already have a braillenote bt.
3. with the PK I get both a QT and a BT device in one! <smile>
4. You saw what Roger Behm of Adaptive technology told the list? I knew
this already from mike gibson's demonstration.
I think my counselor would want me to this route so I can teach the
deaf-blind clients in this state and possibly in others. So you see how it
is for me?(The counselor is paying for it.)

Hi Isaac,
I would go with the BrailleNote QT. It's bigger than the PK, but not all
that much, it's still very portable. I have been writing Braille for as
long as I can remember and I still prefer to type. The only weird thing
about the QT, (aside from the fact that my keys stopped working in a couple
rows, which is no kind of endorsement for anything), is that the keys are
small and close together. Have you ever seen a Franklin Language Master?
The QT's keyboard is bigger than that, but not a lot. Write me off-list if
you want a mor in-depth discussion of this different technology.

You're correct! but it's not the bt keyboard I would be wanting, it's the
qt. the PK comes with the bt keyboard and this is what I am thinking and
have been thinking from day one! I would have to buy a bluetooth keyboard
or get a serial cable and plug in a regular keyboard with a ps/2 plug.

Dear Isaac,
If PDI has the regular BT keyboards for sale and they can be plugged into
the PK, and I think you said you prefer that keyboard, then you would have
the best of both worlds.
I prefer the QT keyboard.
