You can use Outlook Express with the Nokia PC Suite. You don't have to use Outlook.

But if you have Verizon Wireless, you can buy the LG VX4500. It has software which makes the phone talk. It allows you to enter your contacts directly into the phone without using any external software.

If the BN used Windows XP and if it had a USB port, then you could use the external software provided as an accessory to program the phone.

Interesting, Jonathan, at present, I don't have outlook on the computer I use the most but very soon I probably will install office 2003 because I am still running word 2000 and in order to utilize window-eyes to its utmost I need the newer product. There is so much for this very old brain to learn and I am feeling it all must be done in exactly 3 seconds which of course, it doesn't but thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the very positive feedback Mary Ellen. At present, cell phones
don't really expose the user interface to external software in the way you want. However, here's one thing you might think about if you use Microsoft Outlook. What I do is enter all my contacts on my BrailleNote. It's by far
the most efficient way to get the information in. Then I synchronise my
BrailleNote with Microsoft Outlook using KeySync. Using the Nokia PC Suite,
I synchronise my phone with Outlook. So the key point here is that MS
Outlook is acting as a conduit if you will, a mid-point with which my
BrailleNote and my cell phone can synchronise. It works really well and I
have all my numbers and appointments on all devices.
