Hi Nancy: Just a quick note to say that you're dot 1 seems to be sticking. All the more reason for us all to spell check our email and other things, especially when using Braille keyboards. For instance, if I see the word "impffoved", I can easily indicate as a Braille reader that the "ff" is just a result of a sticky dot 1. However, a sighted person, or even a blind person who does not know Braille, would have absolutely no idea what the person meant.
I'm sorry for the lecture but it's important to me that blind people be able to communicate with sighted people without the stigma of bad spelling and grammar coming into play. Even though the brailling errors are not exactly spelling errors, they still contribute to that stereotype. Of course, I've done this before, who hasn't? Just a little didacticism for you all... should that even be a word. *grin* Laura >------ original message ------ >from: Nancy Ungar <[EMAIL PROTECTED] >Subject: [Braillenote] Batteries, file manager, etc >Hi and a hapsy New Year to everyone!
