I know this may not be desirable for some. But it is just easier for me to delete those old backup folders on my PC. It asks me if I am sure and sometimes gives me some files which it doesn't want to erase, but I just say "yes to all" and it takes care of it quickly. However, I do realize many people may not have a computer. Hope this helped.

Hi all;
The reason it says the directory is not emty is exactly that, your folder has a subdirectory or subdirectories in it, and there are files in there. I know, it's a neusence, because sometimes the files are hidden and you have to go to the "List of all, including hidden" files setting by hitting space with x I believe. I would like to see this made easier at some point soon on the bn, so that if a file is protected or hidden or in a subdirectory, the bn will automatically let you know where and what it is and ask if you want to erase. This is the same with protected files, just have the bn say file slash so and so in subdirectory such and such slash blank is protected. Unprotect and erase?
Then all you'd have to do was hit y and it would be taken care of.
Or better yet, if you do an erase all, that means "all" in whereever you are erasing. Just have the bn give the "Are you sure you want to erase --- and all contained files and folders?" prompt and if you say "yes" then let's not have more of this not emty stuff, let's have it take kare of all that. I bring this up, because I wanted to erase an old back up folder on one of my cf cards and ended up having to search for and erase all the hidden stuff.
Is there not a quicker way?
Would appreciate any help

Richard

Hi.
I tried to erase a old back up folder from a compact flash card and was told
I could not because "The directory is not empty" but when I went to the
folder, there were no files there.
What am I missing?
Thanks
