Lauren, when you saved the files to the compact flash card, did you specify a folder, e.g.: e:\PC-downloads? If not, it will either be saved in the none folder of the cf card, which is not specifically mentioned and you will have to type it in on the voice note at the folder name prompt, alternatively it may be saved in the first layer as separate folders on the cf card, in which case you will have to locate it by perusing the list of folders on the card.
There are two other aspects you should check: You say: "When I look on the flash drive in the voice note," remember that the flash drive is not the same as the compact flash drive and you couldn't have saved it to the flash drive from the pc, so you should check the compact flash drive on the vn to locate your word documents. Also, check that you change the file type to look for, to all files, before you go through the list of folders, as .doc files will not be listed by default. Lastly, depending on which keysoft version you use, there may be a problem to open files later than word 2000 format. Hth Riana -----Original Message----- From: Sarai D. I apologize for the cross-post. I hope everyone is having a good start to the new semester. Anyhow, I have a question about the voicenote QT. I wanted to transfer some word documents from my pc to the voicenote so I saved them to the flash card. But when I inserted the flash card in the voicenote and went to the file manager and tried to open the files stored on the flash drive it first prompted me to look in a folder for the files I wanted. They weren't in any of the three folders listed--manual, maps, and points of interest, so I am wondering, is there any way to get files off a flashcard and onto a voicenote without looking in any folders? If not, how do you extract a file off the flash card and onto the voicenote? Thanks in advance for all your help and I hope this made some sense!
