PWD is the extension that get attached to a file if youuse active sync and
have conversion checked. You don't want to have your files converted
necessarily when you transfer them using active sync. I can't remember
where to find the option, someone else may be able to help withthis one a
bit more. Just find that checkbox and make sure it isn't checked and it
should help you.

Subject: [Braillenote] Odd situation with files

> Hello everyone,
> I have what I feel to be an odd situation going on. However, I've only
had
> my Braille Note for a little more than a week.
> Here's the situation.

> The other day I wanted to transfer a word document onto the Braille Note.
> When I tried doing this, I got a message saying that there wasn't the
proper
> amount of memory for this file.
> That's not exactly what it reported, but that is rather close.
> Then when I tried again, I got a message saying that this file type wasn't
> compatible.
> Again, that's not exactly how this message came across, but that's close.
> Well, I decided to save the file as a text file, and then try to move it.
> This time I was able to move it without any problems.
> However, when I opened the file I was told that computer Braille was

> The file was unreadable. It just was a bunch of gibberish.

> S CH sign, O O L I G.

as

> Is this what it should have had?
> It had the extention, DOC before I moved it, so why would that have
changed?
> Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

> Will only certain types of DOC files open with the Braille Note?
> If so, then how do you know which ones that might be?
> Any help in this matter will be much appreciated.
