I will bet you need an init string and to set up the phone properly. It is
probably set for USB and is also at the wrong baud rate.

we have this phone!

Verizon Wireless, that confirmed this for me. He says the phone does work

When last I conversed with Verizon Wireless, they promised to be looking
into making PDA accessibility a reality, for all. Whether they were saying
