The spam is not coming from the user lists as such. Spammers tend to attack
those service providers which have the least security. With the Braille
Note you are pretty much at the mercy of your ISP to provide spam blockage.
If they don't, about all you can do is delete them before opening them for
best virus protection. If you do not know who the message is from or if it
does not have the name of the user list you are on then delete it before
opening it.

If you are receiving your e-mail on a PC before downloading it to your
Braille Note then you could add additional protection by installing a
firewall. You have to be careful in setting up the firewall though or you
might block messages you really want. You can check with your ISP (Lisa, in
your case, Earthlink) and have them assist you in spam blockage.

Yes, I get several of them daily. I do a shift delete to make sure they
aren't in my deleted items. I had someone check on them. They truly are
spam and since I am on several lists, we figure they were coming from one of
them. Since you are getting them as well, they are probably on this list.

Microsoft supposbly. The subject line says something about a patch for
security that needs to be installed immediately. I have been deleting them
but they show up daily. Also I am getting other suspicious emails when I
try to reply to the sender the message bounces back saying that the ISP
doesn't exist. , have been deleting these suspicious messages too. I'm not
trying to accuse anyone here of sending me these weird emails. I am just
hoping that the BN doesn't get a virus from all of this weirdness. I don't
ever open attachments just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for your time and your help. Basically I want to make sure I am not
supposed to be doing anything with the Microsoft patch like installing it.
I figured if I was supposed to PDI would have sent something which to the
list which goes to show how nice PDI is.
