Hi. I wonder if pulse data has ever considered making a converter that one could keep on their pc. It would convert keyword files to either rtf, braille for braille key word files or text. Seems like this would come in pretty handy if you didn't have your bn at hand and needed to read a file.

It has a version of Pocket Outlook, I think. Not being a user, I don't know for certain, but I know people who sync their appointments with it.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I might be able to make this relatively painless. Or, maybe I'll wait until the company gets its BrailleNote back.

Does the Pac Mate have a calendar?

You can, if you need to, export all your documents as text files. This can be done in a couple of steps, instead of having to convert each file one at a time.

No the PacMate will not read Keyword documents. You and the "save as"
command are going to get really well acquainted.

I am needing to send my Bn Bt in for cleaning and a (hopefully) minor
repair. However, in my three jobs, I need a portable notetaker while
mine is away.

I am usually able to borrow a BrailleNote from a company through which I
do some contracting, but their machine is out on loan. They will loan a
Pac Mate to me, but I am wondering if the Pac Mate will read KeyWord
documents, or whether I will have to transfer all necessary files to
Microsoft Word or to text.

Any progress on the loaner program through PDI that was discussed a few
months ago?
