It also doesn't take as long as a laptop just to boot up. I'd hate to be trying to take notes and have to wait for my machine to boot before I could use it. That's one of the many reasons my boss and I worked on getting the bn even though I already owned a laptop.

I like the BN over a lap top for several reasons. 1. Spanish software 2. Braille display 3. Longer battery life 4. Smaller 5. Not as fragile. I love my little machine, and am glad to have what it offers. As time goes on, we'll get different things, but for now, I can use my laptop for things that I can't do on the BN. > > Diane Garrett/Leader Ruby > Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Phone: (918) 664-5731 > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > >From: "Sarah Cranston" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > >To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected] > >Date: Wed, 28 Jul 2004 16:01:48 -0500 > >Subject: RE: [Braillenote] USB port on BN? > > >We can say that the BN family should have been more mainstream, should have USB, should be better organized, should be perfect. It's still just a notetaker, it isn't, and never will be, a PC or laptop. There's only so much room in the machine, and only so much we can afford to pay. Something had to give somewhere, and not everyone is satisfied with what we have. It's still a great little machine! > > >-----Original Message----- > >From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > >[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Victory > >Associates LTD, Inc. > >Sent: Wednesday, July 28, 2004 3:58 PM > >To: Braillenote List > >Subject: Re: [Braillenote] USB port on BN? > > > >Hello Richard: > > >In my opinion, hind sight should have been 20-20!!
