Hi Jonathan, I'd like to make use of the compact flash card which I got with my ks 6.11 upgrade for something else. Would I be right in assuming that I could copy the stuff off the ks 6.11 compact flash card on to my pc then when I needed to use it again, I could copy it back to a spare fat formatted compact flash card from my Pc and this would work allowing me to reinstall my 6.11 upgrade should the need arise? Thanks in advance,

The 6.1/6.11 cards are formatted in a particular way, specifically in FAT rather than FAT32, and this is required for the boot loader software to work. So if you have a 6.11 card, it would be advisable to leave that one alone in case you need it to install future upgrades. I have 6.11 burned in to my unit, but I have 5.0, 5.1 build 19 on CF cards. Can I delete that stuff off those cards and use them for other things. Can we burn the upgrades we get on CD, so we can keep them safe. -- Matt Roberts Email services by FreedomBox.
