Braille Window information and selling price:

Braille Window Refreshable Display

More Powerful Braille Access
To Windows!

45 cell portable -- $5,450.00, including shipping and insurance. I ship
anywhere in the world!

The Braille Window from HumanWare is a powerful refreshable display that
empowers braille readers to navigate easily through Windows
95/98, NT, 3.11 DOS, or XP.

The portable model has 45 eight-dot cells. The 45-cell model runs on AC for
desktop use, but comes with a built-in battery when portability is important.

Combined with software such as JAWS for Windows (JFW) (which supports
user-defined macros), both Braille Window models let users navigate Windows
95/98/NT/XP
or 3.x directly from the keys on
the Braille Window with fewer key strokes and more confidence than ever before.

HumanWare's Braille Window features:

Six programmable "touch cursors" provide additional control: one-touch toggle
between PC and JFW cursors; ready access to the application menu bar; immediate
return to the Windows desktop; simulated right mouse clicks.

Five status cells constantly display vital information: instantly check the
location of your cursor, the JFW cursor position, the location of text on the
screen or instantly check cursor and mode status.

Intuitive 6-dot braille command key configuration makes it easy: learn quickly
using familiar key commands; remember easy mnemonics, such as S for Start,
D for Desktop,T for Top of window, etc.; control JFW and Windows right from the
Braille Window; train in less time and with lower cost than normally required;
tailor Braille Window functions using JFW Script Manager.

Firmware stored in flash ROM assures more stable operation; prevents accidental
disruption of programs.

Five thumb-key controls provide easy vertical and horizontal navigation of
screen, plus convenient "route braille display to active cursor" key.

High profile "touch cursors" for enhanced "tactile" feel.

Six programmable braille command keys enable assignment of one or more keys to
JFW scripts for functions that would normally require multiple keystrokes,
i.e., jump to top of window, switch from JFW to PC cursor.

Parallel "pass-through" for easy connection to a printer or braille embosser.

Unique NT driver enables use of parallel port: only Braille Window offers true
parallel access to NT (cable included); frees serial port for use with modem,
synthesizer, etc.

Serial and parallel interfaces support faster communication; simplify
connecting to host computer.

Durable, impact-resistant case uses longer fiberglass strands for greater
strength
