When money permits me to do so, the VN will be upgraded. <smiles!>

It's too bad you already bought the Ethernet card. You will have to send
away the VoiceNote to get upgraded to the new motherboard in order to use
it. Of course, you have a good backup Braille device in your old 40 cell
notetaker. It's by no means as useful in today's Windows environment as is
the BrailleNote or VoiceNote, but it's still a good Braille device. If I
had had a 40 cell notetaker when I got my first Braille transcription job, I
would never have asked my counselor for my BrailleNote QT 32. As it was, I
had never owned any notetaker with refreshable Braille. I literally *had*
to have it in order to do my job. Also, my counselor was impressed that I
had gone out and gotten the job on my own. So, once my request was made, it
was filled rather quickly. On several occasions when my BN was in the shop,
I borrowed one of those old 40 cell notetakers, and it worked fine if all I
wanted to do was write stuff down and use it as a Braille display on my
computer. It should work just as well for you when and if you ever decide
to upgrade the VN. I wish I still had access to that dinosaur, I could use
it now that my BN is broken once again.

OK, I was under the impression, that the card could be used. Glad I asked,
before attempting to install it. How does one install this kind of card? How
long would I be with out my VN? Do you all send out exchange units?P Is
there anyway that I could use my Road Runner account on my vn?
