I'd really suggest that you read the manuals that come with the gps. It
discusses the whole issue of gps accuracy and the reasons why it can vary.

As for setting up a route, you need to enter the address for your starting
point into the gps program and then the destination address. You do this from
the
address lookup where you define the state, city, street, and actual address.
Then you do an s to save this address as your virtual position or starting
point.
Then you do the same for your destination concluding with a d to set that
address as your destination.

Finally, you create a route with the rp command for a pedestrian route. The
braillenote will calculate a route for you.

It may or not be the very best route, depending on several factors. For
example, you might actually walk it differently because there's an audible
signal at a
particular intersection which makes it easier or safer for you. The
braillenote can't know about that because audible signals aren't indicated on
the map.
This is just one example.

The gps is a great tool, but it does take some learning, and reading the manual
carefully is a key to getting it to work for you.
