You are correct, the wireless Ethernet support requires a wireless Ethernet card which you insert into the compact flash slot of the BrailleNote PK. Bluetooth, on the other hand, is built right in, with a Bluetooth receiver on board. Remember that the compact flash slot can be used for more than storage. If you are familiar with other members of the BrailleNote family, you'll be aware that we have for some time now recommended a Socket Low Power Ethernet card that you insert into the compact flash slot. Compact Flash cards that are modems can also be purchased, and in my laptop I have a compact flash Bluetooth adaptor. The card we recommend for wireless access on the BrailleNote PK is the Sandisk WiFi/storage card. The cool thing about these cards is that they allow your compact flash slot to do double duty. They are effectively two devices on one card. On the one hand, they are a wireless Ethernet card, while on the other, they also provide a storage card with 128 MB of storage on board. So even though there is only one compact flash slot on the BrailleNote pK, you can make it do two things at once. Hope this helps. When I ordered my PK, for which I am waiting, I was given to understand that the Wi-Fi support wasn't automatically on board and that I would need a card for the PK. Is the extra card effectively a compact flash card with the Wi-Fi software already installed? Also, the implication was that this card does actually provide you with some additional non-volatile memory which rather confuses me! Does this mean that you can actually write to this card without over-writing the Wi-Fi code which presumably resides on the card? If so, how much additional memory does this card actually give you? Thanks.
