Good you found a slolution that works. As for the planner, I can edit the appointment by choosing the "go to alarm in the Planner" option.

Hay, thanks for encouraging me to try other things!! And, although I
couldn't get what you suggested to work for me, I was finally able to get it
to work. Actually, in the end, I had to hold down the power button for
maybe a second and a half, and then press the dot two or three or whatever,
while still holding down that power button.

Now, grin, any idea about what I am doing wrong with the planner--meaning,
why I can get the alarm to sound, but am not able to review/revise my
appointments?

Hi, The manual is not quite clear with regards to alternate start up. Try
this. Press and release the power button and immediately hold down dots 2 or
3 or 2-3 for the desired mode. It should work.

Hi All,

As the subject line says, I'm having a problem doing a couple of things on
the PK; however, these could just be due to my inexperience with Keysoft.
Or, on the other hand, if these have already been reported as bugs and I
missed it, then I apologize in advance for my error.

First, I can't seem to get the PK to come up in the alternative startup
modes--meaning starting up with just Braille or just speech. Now, things
are just fine if I have already changed to one of these modes before
shutting off the PK; but, rather, it's the changing startup mode at turn
on
that I'm talking about--for example, starting up with Braille only after
using both speech and Braille. When I press the dot 3 with the power on,
the unit comes up with both Braille and speech, and does the same if I
press
the dot two with power on.

And, second, although I can set an appointment, and even get the alarm to
go
off, I'm not able to go in and review/change the details of that
appointment. I can't even seem to get the PK to tell me that I've got an
appointment scheduled for that matter. However, when the alarm does go
off,
I can go to the alarm menu and get the details of the appointment read to
me,
but they disappear if I try to open the planner and find them there, or
don't even show up in the planner at all if I check there before the alarm
goes off.

Oh, I did all three types of resets, and I still have the problems. And,
strangely enough, at least to me, anyway, after the 4 5 6 reset, I wasn't
prompted for the date and time. They actually were still set correctly,
although my time zone had to be changed in the utilities menu. And, most
of
my
wireless and GPRS and dial-up connection settings were still in tact. I
haven't started storing files on the PK yet, so wasn't able to check that
after the resets.

Any info/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
