Hello, Richard,
Yes, I very much agree that it is no way to run an airline, railroad, or a software distributor. Haven't they ever heard of insurance or registration? For just a little more, the post office gurantees to deliver your package and you can track it all the way without leaving the comfort of your computer chair! Well, tht is not too surprising. I ran afoul, and I do mean foul in the worst sense of the word, of another company that I wanted something from. They told me they were adding about twelve dollars to cover shipping by UPS. They said there would be no insurance except for the few dollars USP would pay for a lost package. I asked them to ship it through the US Post Office, the fastest and surest way, also the cheapest. The shipping clerk (spelled J E R K) said company policy forbade use of the Post office, and besides, he had no idea of where a post office was or even if the postal service covered his city. Now, how about that! I told him he must be related to the shipping clerk I met about a month before who told me I had to fill out a customs form for shipment to Hawaii or Alaska because they were foreign countries. He told me he was as lot smarter than that, everybody knows that Alaska is a state, You only have to make out the customs form for Hawaii. By that time, I was laughing so hard that I almost couldn't tell him to cancel the order, that I would rather do without for a while.

If I were you, I would ask Humanware to refund my money. You are much better of without that buggy upgrade. Since they have no data on who they shipped to or whether the shipments arrived or not, let's all of us ask for full refunds!! Panic and Chaos are so much fun!

Greetings:
Some of my co-workers have finally received their 6.1 upgrades.
However, not all of the upgrades have been received.
Accordingly, one of my co-workers contacted Humanware. Humanware stated
that there is no tracking done on any upgrade that is sent, therefore no
way to determine whether or not an individual upgrade has been shipped.
They further stated that they were out of stock on upgrade packages, and
that wouldn't have any more for several weeks.
I'm sorry, friends and neighbors, this is no way to run an airline!

Penny,
In the August 2004 Ziegler magazine, there was an article that stated
that
each state has technology assisted program and it gave a phone number to

call in each state.
It stated that the loans were low interest and that they were to be used

to purchase assistive technology. It said you didn't need to be employed

either. So it's just a matter of finding out whom to contact in your
individual state.
